Spring Break 2011 (Part I of V) - Mongolian BBQ in Cleveland, OH
Before heading to The Q to soak in the first Friday of the NCAA tournament, the group of five basketball fans I was a part of headed to the Coventry neighborhood to get our fill at BD’s Mongolian BBQ. We knew we had a solid 8 hours of March Madness ahead of us; so getting a big meal was key in avoiding having to pay $12 for a burger at the arena.
I love this place for two reasons: 1) It’s all you can eat, which is always a plus; and 2) It’s fully customizable. Any meat, any veggies, and any sauce - and at least 50 more choices than the wok bar at the dining hall.
I started out with a jambalaya-style stir fry with chicken, kielbasa, peppers, onions, and a Cajun sauce combo. Then, I tried a seafood-based Asian stir fry. The seafood was awesome (scallops, shrimp, and mahi mahi) - I definitely gotta remember to try that again next time.
The next post in my SB2011 series will come from Parkview Niteclub in Cleveland’s West side.
